At Bad Dog Guitars we build Custom Order guitars inspired by specific historical models from the 50s and 60s, respecting their essential specifications and original character.

Our Custom Order service allows you to configure your instrument from a real base, selecting options such as woods, neck profiles and electronics within the framework of each model.

Each guitar is handcrafted with selected materials and a high level of precision, seeking a result faithful to the vintage spirit in sound, feel and response.

To complete your Custom Order reservation, you must follow these steps:

1. Complete the reservation form. In it, you will need to specify the features you want for your guitar and any other descriptive notes you need to add.

2. After filling out the form and accepting the custom order conditions, you will be redirected to a payment screen.

3. Once you have filled in the form and made the reservation, we will contact you to provide more details about the features and configuration of your Bad Dog guitar.

Custom Order

A "Custom Shop Order" is an instrument built to order, according to specific specifications previously defined by the client. It is not a stock product nor a modified standard guitar, but an individual build made expressly for a specific person and a specific order.

Each project begins with a preliminary form in which the instrument’s specifications are defined. These specifications constitute the basis of the project and remain in place throughout the entire construction process.

Wood Selection

All woods used in Custom Orders are selected individually, taking into account weight, grain, stability, and resonance. The objective is to obtain a balanced and structurally stable instrument.

One-piece bodies are available exclusively for Custom Orders.

These bodies are made from a single solid wood blank, with no joints or laminations. Availability is limited and depends on the actual quality and characteristics of the wood.

Natural variations in color, grain, or texture are inherent to the material and are not considered defects.

For necks with rosewood fingerboards, the client may select the specific fingerboard piece from real photographs prior to the start of the work, subject to availability.

Components Used

Custom Orders are built exclusively using components from Bad Dog Custom & Relic Guitars or from trusted, established suppliers.

Client-supplied parts, used components, or materials of unknown origin are not accepted.

Each instrument is conceived and delivered as a complete and coherent unit, assembled and adjusted from the outset.

Assembly and Setup

All Custom Order guitars are delivered fully assembled and professionally set up.
Professional assembly and the initial setup are included in the final price.

Before delivery, each instrument undergoes a final inspection, including truss rod adjustment, string height, intonation, and a general check of functionality and stability.

Identification and Documentation

Each Custom Order guitar is delivered with:

A serial number engraved on the neck plate
A Certificate of Authenticity (COA)
A hard case included

The serial number allows identification and traceability of the instrument within the workshop.

Bad Dog Custom Guitars Club

The purchase of a complete Custom Order guitar grants automatic access to the Bad Dog Custom Guitars Club.

Club access is linked to the instrument, not to the individual. Membership remains active as long as the guitar is owned.

The club provides access to selected parts, preferential conditions on certain services, and a specific maintenance program, the details of which are described in the corresponding section.

Included Annual Setup

With the purchase of a complete guitar, one annual setup is included, to be carried out approximately one year after delivery of the instrument.

This setup includes a general inspection, truss rod adjustment, string height adjustment, and intonation.
Shipping to the workshop is paid by the client; return shipping is included.
